What is the programme about?
Day one focuses on marketing strategy and its development. (Added) value creation and online marketing are the focal point of the day. When examining online marketing we will look into Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) and Social Media Marketing, amongst other innovations, in relation to brand management.
Days two and three are all about business strategy versus marketing strategy, and about making the right strategic choices and implementing them consistently and sensibly. We’ll address a number of questions essential to the creation of your own marketing strategy: Who, what and where is ‘my market’? What is my position in this market? How do I develop a value
proposition, and how do I communicate it? How do I draw up a good business roadmap for planning and implementation of strategy? What is the added value of this roadmap and what are the pitfalls? We will also discuss the most important marketing instruments and their applicability.

Lecturers
Dr. Marc Castricum
Marc advises companies and managers when setting up and implementing strategic internet marketing paths. He specifically focuses on Technology Acceptance and Social Media Marketing. Furthermore, he is co-owner of a number of companies and internet platforms where he tests theory through practical experience.
Geert Desmet SLM
Geert started his career as a market researcher. After that, he held various marketing positions for 10 years, among other things at Procter & Gamble and Heineken. He is specialised in marketing, market and business intelligence and market research. Currently, he is linked to TiasNimbas Business School as Director Company Specific Programmes.
Prof. dr. Rudy Moenaert
Rudy is Professor Strategic Marketing at TiasNimbas Business School and part-time Professor Strategic Marketing at Nyenrode Business University. He publishes in international professional magazines, is one of the authors of the book “Visionary Marketing”, is an experienced teacher and internationally active as an advisor to several multinationals. The combination of theory and practice in his professional life gives him the unique ability to translate theoretical concepts into practical and usable applications.
